On Tuesday, March 2, Long Beach City Council approved five new arts initiatives that will support Long Beach's artists, residents, businesses and visitors.

The initiatives garnered support from a diverse group of arts organizations, business owners, educators, artists and community activists, who packed the Council Chambers to show their support and speak about their experiences.

The Arts Council for Long Beach supports these new measures and sincerely thanks each and every person who demonstrated their support in attendance, phone calls and emails to City Council.
